What even were last nights dreams?

Interjects my brain as I try to write this. 

I dreamt a fish that turned into a man.

I did not even finish regained yesterday’s dreams

& the only reason I remembered last nights

Was a headline about the travel ban.

The dream I had, the night before last, 

There was a hotel;

Not MY hotel, two buildings, but not mine. 

‘En plein air’, comes to me as I write this,

As a way of describing the hallways. 

There was a pool, indoor, leaking copious amounts of humidity. 

When facing the pool from what was somehow both an interior hallway and not an interior hallway

(Oh, to be able to recreate the geometries of dreams!) 

There was a descending hallway to the left,

An extreme liminal picture,

Red carpet, red light, & filled with dripping ice from extreme cold coupled with the extreme permeating humidity. 

This water, a common theme; 

& it was so prolific that eventually it caused the collapse of the entire building, a visual that I will not attempt to use words to do justice to.
